Regarding chesttalk.com

In January 2012 I ran a survey about how to make this blog better. One of the comments left read:

"This is in bad form to steal the name of a popular site to capitalize on its owner’s thousands of hours of work."

The person who left this comment said he came from the original ChestTalk site. Wondering if that site had returned to active duty, I followed the link it was indeed back up and running as of Tuesday 24 January. I noticed that the site was now called Chest Talk™, implying that the name has been trademarked.

When attempting to access the site, I (along with everyone else, not just me) was asked to confirm that I wasn't on the Banned Users List. While I'd had no problem accessing the site around Christmas 2011, I double checked and, sure enough, Colonel Bastard and colonelbastard are now both banned.

At that point, I closed my broswer's tabs and headed home.

As I state in the About The Blog page, "The name of the blog's taken from the long defunct website chesttalk.com which contained one of the largest collections of big breast stories but that's the only connection between that site and this." When I set this blog up, chesttalk.com had not been around for several years so I don't think I stole the name; I certainly made no attempt to buy the domain name for example.

Instead, I took the name of a site which was no longer around and tried to do something similar for myself and fans of the big boob genre. I have nothing but respect for the original creator of chesttalk.com - I was simply trying to emulate him and bring free stories copied from other sites (which is what he did) to others using a free and stable platform.

Having had no contact with the administrator of chesttalk.com, I can only assume that my account has been banned because of this blog. Having heard in the past that there was some bad blood between chesttalk.com and another big boob site, I would like to say that I have no interest whatsoever in getting into any sort of on- or offline argument. I'm just a middle-aged bloke indulging his fetish a couple of evenings a week and am really too old for such unpleasantness.

If the administrator of chesttalk.com would like me to change the name of this blog (particularly if it has been trademarked) or would like to discuss anything else about it, please ask him to email me at colonelbastard AT gmail DOT com
